83% Grenache, 16% Carignan, 1% Cinsault
Tasting Notes:
As usual, we worry less about color on this rosé and more about crisp tanginess. This portion of Blue Mountain Vineyard offers less ripening for the Grenache than any other spot and that makes it ideal for our purpose - we want to retain acidity. Grenache's fragrant aromas of strawberries, white raspberries, and spice provide ideal material for rosés; our goal throughout has been to preserve the wine's freshness and lift. Fermentation and ageing in concrete help focus mineral intensity and layered texture.
